Cambridge homeowners now have until March 31, 2027 to use the Cambridge attic insulation rebate. Enbridge Gas made the announcement on October 27, 2026, extending Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program past its November 30, 2026 end date.
Galt, Preston, Hespeler: One Rebate
Cambridge’s three original communities are full of older homes, and many of those attics may hold far less insulation than today’s standards call for. Newer homes can benefit too if their insulation has settled.
Rebate Breakdown
The standalone attic stream refunds 50% of your insulation cost after tax:
- Up to $1,250 for a standard attic
- Up to $750 for a flat roof or cathedral ceiling
You won’t need a home energy assessment first.
Eligibility
Your existing insulation must be below the program’s R-value thresholds, and the upgrade must bring the attic to at least R-50. A participating contractor must do the work. If your home already received an attic rebate from Enbridge, Save on Energy or another Ontario program, it won’t qualify. Take the attic insulation eligibility quiz to check.
